The project included a complicated infrastructure designation approval process resulting in a number of onerous conditions placed on the project. The project also required major upgrades to almost all existing school infrastructure including upgrades to Power, Water, DDA Access, Car parking, Communications and the separate design, environmental approval and installation of a self contained sewer treatment system designed to significantly reduce ongoing costs to the Department of Education by irrigating treated water onto the schools oval. Furthermore the school had an extremely difficult traffic arrangement requiring negotiation and onerous consultation with local council and the community.
The project was completed on time under budget and was delivered as a traditionally designed and constructed project including the demolition of existing classrooms and the installation of temporary hire buildings for the school to use as temporary decanting space.
