Pentridge Village Central

This project is an infill development located at the former Pentridge Prison complex in Coburg approximately 8km north of the Melbourne CBD. The project involves the subdivision of approximately 7.5Ha of land to create 13 ‘super’ lots which will be further subdivided in the future producing a mixed residential and commercial precinct. Ultimately the development will comprise approximately 1000 apartments, museums, retail and commercial areas and an investment wine storage facility in the old D-Division cell block.
Lambert & Rehbein was commissioned to undertake the initial services investigation, the detail design and documentation, contract documentation and contract administration for the trunk services infrastructure required to service the 13 ‘super’ lot development. This included the design of bulk earthworks, roadworks, stormwater drainage, water and sewerage reticulation and coordination of other utility services including electricity and streetlighting and telecommunications.
The main project components include a 375mm diameter sewerage main upgrade under Merri Creek and implementation of a stormwater reuse system which increases the available developable land whilst satisfying water quality and on site detention requirements.
