Hope Island Duplication Pacific Motorway to Jabiru Island

Lambert & Rehbein was commissioned by the Department of Transport and Main Roads to undertake the Preliminary and Detailed Design for the duplication of Hope Island Road on the Gold Coast to provide a four lane median divided arterial carriageway between the M1 and Jabiru Island (Length—6.5km)

This high profile project involved the investigation of alignment options to achieve desired flood immunity within the existing road corridor and environmental constraints and included the installation of a multi-span bridge, cross drainage structures, five major intersection upgrades involving traffic installation, provision for cyclists on and off road, street lighting and contract documentation.
