Gold Coast - Springbrook Road Duplication Road Corridor Development Planning

Lambert & Rehbein (L&R) was commissioned by the Department of Transport and Main Roads to undertake a final review of the Road Corridor Development Planning (RCDP) layout for the duplication of Gold Coast – Springbrook Road between Bell Place & Somerset Drive, Mudgeeraba.
Scope:
- Detailed site investigations;
- Geotechnical investigations;
- Development of initial vertical and horizontal alignments;
- Development of options for the corridor including consideration of flood immunity issues;
- Development and assessment of various upgrade options;
- Intersection assessment and concept layout design;
- Stormwater drainage;
- Public utility services protection/ relocation investigations;
- TMR Detailed Design Report
The purpose of this Road Corridor Development Planning Review is to:
- Verify the design standards and parameters;
- Update the design layouts to conform with the current standards
- Confirm GCCC future development of Firth Park;
- Confirm Public Utility Service Authorities future requirements;
- Verify the State Road reserve corridor land requirements;
- Confirm purchase of land from GCCC for the ultimate layout; and
- Create an appropriate design that establishes the future road reserve boundaries for future preservation opportunities.
