Fauna & Biodiversity Study
Brisbane Airport


Client: Brisbane Airport Corporation
The Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC), commissioned Lambert & Rehbein in 2002 to undertake a 12 month fauna study and to develop a Biodiversity Management Strategy for their 2,700 hectare commonwealth, leased site. The outcomes of this study assisted in future development of the Airport site including the development of the proposed third runway. This project was completed in November 2003.
Project Scope:
- Comprehensive, season-wide terrestrial fauna surveys;
- Estuarine aquatic surveys;
- Workshops with BAC Executive Committee; and
- Development of the Brisbane Airport Biodiversity Management Strategy.
